I've been very fortunate since I started competing and performing in April of 1991... Being surrounded by some of the most inspirational fliers from each era and traveling to various areas of North America throughout my career has been invaluable to me, giving me the opportunity to absorb different skills and styles from some of the very best.
Special awards received:
1992 Rising Star (Experienced Class)
American Kite Magazine
(page 1) (page 2) (page 3)
1997 Outstanding Flyer (Masters Class)
American Kite Magazine
(only person ever to receive both peer awards)
The following history pages contain brief notes about each of my competition years, and detailed results from nearly every event I've entered since I started.
There are some missing results during the gap between when Stunt Kite Quarterly went out of print in 1993, and when the AKA started their conference system in 1996.
I also took time off from kiting in 1998, 1999 and 2000 until I moved back to the Pacific Northwest, where I found my passion rekindled by kiting... I then took one some time out of competition in 2003 to focus on rebuilding Kitelife Magazine.
